“I Want Your Job…It Must Be So Much Fun!” – Breaking Into The World of Events”

10:15 AM
Session: BD7

Basic

Neighbors, colleagues, college students, friends of friends, my husband’s cousin’s next door neighbor…the list is endless. EVERYONE has said to me “you must have the best job; you must have so much fun; how can I get a job like yours?’ Well, I’m going to tell you. It might not be pretty and it’s going to involve some work on your part, but in the end, you might just get there.

Session Deliverables:
1. Resources for looking for job openings in the events industry
2. Core qualifications and skills required to work in the events industry
3. Resume and interview skills – things to highlight on a resume; what not to say on an interview
4. How to acquire experiences when you have none.

Speaker: Cara Workman, CSEP
